There's always something exciting going on at Happy House Preschool Clayton-le-Woods.
Dear All
Hope you are all well. It is amazing that we are already fast approaching Halloween and in the lead up to Halloween night on Sunday we will be inviting the children to come in their favourite dressing up all next week.
Nursery News
All early year providers will be expected to work within the new updated Early Years Foundation stage at the start of the new Academic year.
The focus of the updated framework concentrates on children’s spoken language “ as this underpins all seven areas of learning and development.” Their personal, social and emotional development which is achieved through strong and supportive relationships with the adults in their life helping them to understand theirs and others feelings is “crucial for children to lead healthy and happy lives, and is fundamental to their cognitive development.” and Physical Development which is vital to their all-round development “enabling them to pursue happy, healthy and active lives”.
Our methods of teaching and activities will encompass the philosophies of this document
Over the next term up to Christmas we will be helping the children to use a wider range of vocabulary:
Become more confident to develop a conversation with others and adults:

Masks
As Covid-19 infection rates are still predominantly high could we please ask all parents to ensure that they continue to wear masks when they enter the building, It, is not just a nursery requirement, but it is also a requirement of the centre.
